How Art Can Bring Us Both a Little More Joy and Why I Need You as Much as You Need a Little More Joy (Yes, You!)

Hey there, creative soul! 🌞

I want to talk to you today—yes, you—the one who’s probably juggling too much, maybe feeling a little drained, maybe wondering when life got so serious and heavy.

Here’s the thing I know for sure:
A little creativity goes a long way in lightening the load.
And spoiler alert: It’s not just you who needs it—I need you, too.

The Honest Truth Behind My Creative Business

You might see me online, in my sunny Long Island studio, paintbrush in one hand and iced coffee in the other, making cheerful little art kits, shelf sitters, or sharing tutorials on YouTube.

But behind all the colorful supplies and calming videos, I’m wrestling with something real:

👉🏼 How do I reach more women who need creativity in their lives?
Women like you—who maybe feel overwhelmed, who miss feeling confident, who just want something simple and joyful to break up the stress.

I’ve lived that. After losing my sister suddenly, painting became my therapy. It gave me back a piece of peace I didn’t know I’d lost. That’s why I started sharing art with others—to help people who are struggling, feeling stuck, or needing a fresh spark.

Here’s the Struggle (And the Solution!)

But real talk?
These days, it feels like shouting into a crowded room. Social media is noisy. Algorithms don’t care how much heart I pour into my work. And while I LOVE creating, I can’t do it without people like you showing up, saying,
"Hey Teresa, I needed this today."

That’s where you come in.

When you:

  • Watch one of my YouTube tutorials and leave a comment

  • Grab one of my hand-painted art kits or shelf sitters

  • Share a post or pin something you love

  • Download one of my free guides

  • Or even just reply to one of my emails with, "Thank you, I needed this!"

…you’re not only helping yourself—you’re keeping this whole little creative movement going.

You Don’t Need to Be “Creative” to Start

If you’ve ever thought:
"Oh, I’m not artsy enough,"
"I’d probably mess it up,"
"I don’t have the time or supplies…”
" I can't paint"

STOP. Right there.
I promise you—you don’t need any of that perfectionist nonsense here.
You just need:

✔️ A willingness to try
✔️ A little quiet time
✔️ Maybe some glue, paint, or paper (and hey, I can help you with that!)

The magic isn’t in how “good” it turns out. It’s in the process.
It’s in sitting down, creating something just for you, and feeling a little lighter when you’re done.
