Something BIG is Starting!!!!

Something BIG is Starting!!!!

I am VERY EXCITED to announce the Start of my NEW SERIES!!!!!

Canvas and Crime Chornicles. I know this is NOT for everyone. I have been a True Crime Buff for years and have read more books and stories than I can count.

Each week I will be uploading a painting video. As I paint I am narrating a true crime story. It will usually be a story that is not super well known.

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by the intricacies of true crime. The stories, the investigations, and the minds behind these evil events have always held a profound allure for me. Through the years, I've read countless cases, finding solace and intrigue in the darkest corners of human behavior. Here are some reasons why my fascination with true crime runs deep.

1. Understanding the Human Mind

One of the most compelling aspects of true crime for me lies in the exploration of the human psyche. Behind every crime, there's a story waiting to be uncovered—a series of events, motivations, and circumstances that led an individual down a path of darkness. Understanding these behaviors offers a glimpse into the complexities of the human mind, shedding light on the depths of the human depravity.

2. Unraveling Stories

True crime isn't just about the crimes themselves; it's about the stories behind them. Each case is like a puzzle waiting to be solved, with layers of evidence, motives, and suspects waiting to be uncovered. As a true crime enthusiast, I find myself drawn to the narratives that unfold, piecing together the details to uncover the truth hidden within.

3. Finding Relaxation in the Unsettling

It may seem counterintuitive, but for many true crime aficionados like myself, there's a strange sense of relaxation that comes from immersing oneself in these dark tales.  There's a certain comfort in the unsettling world of true crime—a sanctuary where the chaos of everyday life fades into the background-that only another true crime watcher will understand.

4. Literary Inspirations

In the realm of true crime books, there are many authors who have left an indelible mark on me. From the gripping narratives of Ann Rule to the meticulous investigations of Kathryn Casey and the insightful analyses of M. William Phelps, these writers have shaped my understanding of the genre and fueled my passion for unraveling the mysteries of human nature. These are just a few but there are so many more to name in the coming posts.

5. Embracing the Science

True crime isn't just about storytelling—it's also a window into the world of forensic science and criminal investigation. From the groundbreaking discoveries in DNA analysis to the minute details of forensic pathology, the intersection of science and crime offers a fascinating glimpse into the tools and techniques used to unravel the mysteries of the past.

In the end, my fascination with true crime isn't just about the crimes themselves—it's about the human experience, the pursuit of truth, and the endless quest for understanding. Through the stories, the investigations, and the insights gained along the way, true crime stories offer a eglimpse where we can a explore the darkest recesses of peoples' minds.

I invite you to join me in exploring these stories while I combine my passion for art and my obsession with True Crime.

I started with the Story of Diane Downs.

This week, I feature the story of Dr. Debora Green.
